Founder of Hidden Agenda Co. Charlie Pichardo tells us about his journey to fulfilling his dream of creating an apparel store and motivating others through doing it.
“I want to motivate others to chase their “hidden agenda” and realize that the only limit to their goals are the ones set by themselves.” -Charlie Pichardo, Hidden Agenda Co.
Tell us about your store
The store was officially opened at the beginning of January, 2014, but the ideas were brewing for quite some time. I’ve always been interested in styles and fashion, so creating a brand of my own has always been a dream. Hidden Agenda Co. is a store that sells clothing and posters with the primary focus of inspiring others to chase their dreams. I strongly believe that nothing is impossible, and that’s the kind of mentality that I aim to promote with the motto “Destroy All Mental Boundaries”. I want to motivate others to chase their “hidden agenda” and realize that the only limit to their goals are the ones set by themselves.
How did you decide to go into the e-commerce business?
Once I realized that this goal of mine could not be contained anymore, I had to find a way to get it out there and seen. And since the social media network is bigger than anything else out there, creating a business online only makes sense. The way ideas get shared through networks is incredible, but I feel like some ideas and brands are lacking a genuine message. That’s where I decided to share my own idea and inject some positivity into everyone’s feeds.
How do people find out about your store?
As of now, the brand and store is linked to various social media networks, including Facebook and Instagram. People can find out about the Hidden Agenda Co. store through both of those networks as well as through the website itself.
How did you decide to use Printful for your order fulfillment?
Using Printful was a no-brainer. After meeting the great people over at Printful, learning about the process and witnessing the extremely user friendly setup, along with the resources that would be available to me, I knew Printful was the way to go.
What would be your advice to budding entrepreneurs looking to start their own store?
My advice would be to keep an open mind and don’t be afraid to not sell anything. Ideas that develop in your mind will not become reality unless you actually try them out. Take chances, learn as much as possible about how the site is run and don’t set any boundaries or limits. Network!
