How are mugs printed?

Your design is inkjet-printed using dye-sublimation inks and transfer paper. The image on the paper is printed mirrored, and the paper is wrapped around the mug. The ink is mixed with the coating, so when heat and pressure are applied to transfer the image, it becomes part of the mug.

Is the mug print dishwasher and microwave safe?

White Ceramic Mugs (both glossy and with color inside) are dishwasher and microwave safe, but the print and coating will last longer if you hand-wash them. Enamel Mugs should only be hand-washed, and you can’t put them in the microwave. Also, don’t heat liquids or food directly in the Enamel Mugs—it can damage their coating. Black Glossy Mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe, but, just like with White Ceramic Mugs, the print and coating will last longer if you hand-wash them.

The full price of a personalized coffee mug consists of the price of a mug (starting from $7.50) and the shipping cost. The shipping price depends on the destination country and the number of mugs you want to order. What's the difference between the old 150 DPI print file templates and the new 300 DPI ones?

We updated our templates to ensure better quality. People like to hold mugs up close, so the more detailed the design, the higher the resolution should be. That's why we recommend 300 DPI, although 150 is also OK.
