Printful develops the world's first mockup and embroidery file generator for hats

Printful's hat generator lets users upload their designs for embroidery, and then it instantly generates ready-to-use mockup photos and embroidery files.

This is the first-ever generator for hats and it simplifies the embroidery design process. Before the generator, customers created their mockups and files through photo editing software and synced them manually, which was time consuming. With the hat generator, customers can easily and quickly create designs and sell them on their stores.

The generator also lets users better understand how the finished product will look, whether the file's DPI is high enough, and which thread colors are available. As of launch, all hat models are available in the generator.

While the hat generator does simplify the embroidery design process, all new embroidery files must still be submitted for digitization prior to fulfillment.

The next steps for the embroidery department will be to implement production at Printful's Charlotte facility.
