No, if you sell products we fulfil in the UK to UK-based customers, these orders won’t incur customs fees. However, there may be some fees if you sell some of our internationally produced items in the UK. Read more to find out how we operate in the UK.
Printful is registered for UK VAT, so 20% VAT applies to all orders fulfilled and shipped within the UK.
- If you’re VAT-registered: You still pay 20% VAT on domestic orders. Printful won’t charge VAT for product orders fulfilled overseas – you’ll need to handle it in your VAT returns.
- If you’re not VAT-registered: For UK orders fulfilled within the UK, 20% VAT is charged. If orders are shipped from outside the UK:
- Under £135 (product value, excl. shipping): 20% VAT
- Over £135: Printful charges 0%, but the recipient may incur VAT or customs

Yes. When you add products from Printful to your Shopify store, you set the retail price. You can set your prices in GBP (£), and we’ll charge you for fulfilment in GBP.
