Printful increases production capacity by opening a new fulfillment center in Europe
Oct 12, 2020
Charlotte, North Carolina—Printful is opening its third fulfillment center in Europe, and eighth globally. The new fulfillment center in Riga, Latvia, is 30,138 sq. ft., and product fulfillment operations are set to be launched in the first quarter of 2021.
Printful made the decision to open their newest fulfillment center in the Marupe Smart Park industrial space due to the building's high functionality and efficiency. The second fulfillment center in Riga will initially serve as a storage and warehousing space, as well as boost Printful's cut & sew capacity in the existing Lidostas Parks facility.
In preparation for the upcoming annual ecommerce peak season—Black Friday and Cyber Monday—all of the company's fulfillment centers in Europe, the US, Canada, and Mexico, as well as partner facilities in Australia and Japan will be working full speed to meet the increased production demand. During last year's peak, Printful experienced a significant increase in orders, and the demand is predicted to be even larger this year due to the growing number of Printful customers.
As part of Printful's global market growth strategy, the company is continually investing in its European operations. In addition to the most recent facility in Riga, Printful already has two fully operational warehousing & fulfillment centers in Europe. Both Riga facilities are close to the Riga International Airport, providing an advantage of faster shipping opportunities.
