Printful launches Italian version of its website and mobile app

Charlotte, North Carolina—To better serve Italian-speaking customers in Europe, print-on-demand drop shipping company Printful now offers its website and mobile app in Italian.

These updates will make it easier for Italian speakers to create print-on-demand products and launch businesses with their unique designs. In addition to offering the Italian language, Printful also offers use of the euro currency on its website and partners with the most commonly used ecommerce platforms in Italy.

The Italian language is the 20th most-spoken in the world. About 63 million people speak Italian as their first language, and 3 million speak it as a second language. Printful believes that offering its website and mobile apps in Italian will help foster trust with their customers and help online business owners take advantage of growth in the Italian ecommerce market

A 2017 study found that about 38 million Italian residents, or 62% of the population shop online. By 2024, that number is expected to reach 40.3 million. Overall, Italians are incredibly internet-savvy. Up to 41% of Italians report being influenced by social media, which bodes well for Printful customers who use social media to promote their stores. YouTube is the most popular social network, with 88% of Italian internet users claiming to use the platform.
