Printful localizes its website and mobile app for the Brazilian market

Jun 30, 2021

Charlotte, North Carolina—To better serve Portuguese-speaking customers in the Brazilian market, print-on-demand dropshipping company Printful now offers its website and mobile app in Portuguese.

Portuguese is the 6th most spoken language in the world with about 203 million native speakers and 10 million people who speak it as a second language. Printful aims to build more confidence in the Brazilian business owner and creator community by localizing its website and mobile app.

These updates will make it easier for customers in the Brazilian market to create customized products and launch ecommerce businesses that showcase their unique designs. In addition to localizing its services, Printful also offers the use of the Brazilian real currency on its website and has recently launched partnerships with local manufacturers in two major Brazilian cities—Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

There was a significant increase in the popularity of online payments and other ecommerce activity in Latin America during 2020. As a result, this region has become one of the fastest-growing ecommerce markets in the world—Brazil alone saw an increase of 35%. Printful noticed that the demand for its services in Brazil increased by as much as 84%, so it only made sense to improve localized services in this region.

To meet the increasing demand, the company has integrated with one of the most popular ecommerce platforms in Latin America–Nuvemshop/Tiendanube. Nuvemshop already offers its services to 80,000 merchants and has become the leading ecommerce platform in Latin America. With the help of the localized website and mobile app, currency, partner facilities, and now also a localized ecommerce platform, Portuguese-speaking store owners will be able to create and run their businesses more efficiently.
