Jun 6, 2019
Printful, the on-demand printing company, has opened its second European office. The company has chosen Barcelona due to its strategic location, talent pool, and business opportunities. Printful plans to invest 1MÂ EUR in its Spanish branch.
Printful enables ecommerce entrepreneurs to sell their products online, and have them automatically printed and shipped directly to their customers. Printful can be integrated with various ecommerce platforms, including PrestaShop, WooCommerce, and Shopify.
Printful's website is already available in Spanish and the company currently employs Spanish speaking specialists in its headquarters in Riga, Latvia.
Printful's sales in the Spanish market have tripled in the past year and have continued to grow at a similar rate in 2019. The Spanish market currently has 23.6 million ecommerce customers, with an additional 5.6 million buyers estimated to be shopping online by 2021. Other southern European markets have similar trends.
By opening an office in Barcelona, Printful wants to meet the demand of the Spanish speaking and other southern Europe markets.
In the first year and a half, Printful plans to invest 1M EUR in its Spanish branch.
“Barcelona is a great location for us. It has the proximity of several countries where we want to expand and has a developing entrepreneurial and tech scene. We're also looking forward to accessing its talent pool, especially software developers,” says Davis Siksnans, CEO of Printful.
“Barcelona has become one of the most buzzing locations in Europe. We hope to inspire local creatives by offering them the 'one-stop-shop' route to making their design or product come to life and have a successful business running. We're looking forward to being a part of Barcelona community,” says Ingus Zelenkovs, Jr. Business Development Manager.
Printful currently has offices in the United States, Mexico, and Latvia.
The Barcelona office will be located in Carrer de la Ciutat de Granada, 150.
