Print care instructions

Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Use non-chlorine bleach, only when necessary. No fabric softeners.

Tumble dry low, or hang-dry for longest life.

Cool iron inside-out if necessary. Do not iron decoration.

Do not dry clean.

DTFlex is Printful’s premium direct-to-film (DTF) printing technique, perfected over more than a decade of testing and refinement, and offered exclusively through Printful. Unlike traditional DTF, DTFlex is engineered specifically for on-demand production, so you can offer vibrant, durable prints across a wide range of apparel products.

Product extras and costs

The product price depends on factors like production technique, print placement, product color, size and fulfillment location. You also have to take into account that shipping and taxes are extra.

Fulfillment location

1. Embroidery

Your design will be machine-embroidered on the product. Embroidery costs more than printed clothing because it takes more time and has higher production costs.

Embroidery also comes with digitization and adjustment costs. We don't accept files that have been digitized elsewhere and we only charge files that are part of an order.

Order 25+ embroidery products in a single order, and we'll digitize all your embroidery designs for free. You can choose different products and add as many designs as you like.

Digitization

€6.84incl. VAT / file

Embroidery files have to be digitized to a format the embroidery machine supports. Each embroidery type (flat/3D/partial) requires a separate digitized file. You can later reuse the digitized files for the same type of embroidery orders. We don't accept embroidery files that have been digitized elsewhere, and we only digitize files that are part of an order.

Text tool design digitization

€4.40incl. VAT / file

Text-only designs created in our mockup generator's text tool are digitized for a lower fee.

Back and side embroidery digitization

€2.97incl. VAT / file

Some of our hats have the option to add an embroidered design on the back or either side of the hat, and these files need to be digitized separately.

Digitization adjustment

€2.97incl. VAT / file

The stitch density and direction differ in hat and apparel embroidery. If you want to use hat embroidery files for shirts or vice versa, they need to be adjusted. 3D or partial 3D puff isn't available on apparel, so any previously digitized 3D or partial 3D puff hat files you have need to be digitized from scratch for apparel. We don't accept embroidery files that have been digitized elsewhere, and we only digitize files that are part of an order.

2. DTG printing

Your design will be printed directly on the product with the DTG (direct-to-garment) technique that yields bold and vibrant prints. Our base price includes one print, these are the extras you can get.

Additional print

€6.25incl. VAT

The product price includes one print, but you can add another (back print, or front print) for a separate fee.

Inside label

€1.18incl. VAT

Inside label (3" x 3") is printed on the inside of the garment, and require the removal of the original manufacturer's tag. It must include the country of manufacturing origin, original garment size, and care instructions. Note that inside and outside labels can't both be printed on one shirt – it's one or the other.

Outside label

€2.62incl. VAT

Outside label (3" x 3") is printed on the outside of the garment underneath the collar. Note that inside and outside labels can't both be printed on one shirt – it's one or the other.

Sleeve print

€6.25incl. VAT / print

Sleeve prints can be added to either one or both sleeves of the product.

3. DTFlex printing

Our product prices can change depending on where an order is fulfilled and which currency you use to pay for it.

Each product has a fixed price for each location. Our North American products have a fixed USD price, and our products in Europe have a fixed EUR price.

Products fulfilled in one location but charged in a different currency have a floating price.

For example, let's say you're ordering a t-shirt that we only fulfill in the US and you're paying for it in EUR. The price you pay would be our USD price converted to EUR. The end price would also depend on that month's exchange rate, which is what makes it a floating price.

If you're ordering a product that we fulfill in Europe and you're paying for it in EUR, you would pay our fixed EUR price.
