Printful launches a new integration in Japan with BASE
May 16, 2022
Charlotte, North Carolina—Printful now integrates with BASE, a top Japanese ecommerce platform with over 1.7 million users, as part of its strategy to expand its print-on-demand services in the Japanese market.
Japan is one of Printful's most important markets in Asia, especially as Tokyo is the region's fashion capital. Japanese pop culture products, such as anime, are in high demand all over the world. The Printful + BASE integration is exclusively available for customers in Japan, enabling local artists to monetize their art and sell premium products on a platform they trust.
To make Printful more accessible for new and existing Japanese ecommerce stores, the company is already working with partner facilities in Kashima and Amakusa and has localized its website in Japanese. Printful also offers unique products selected specifically for this market, such as the Japanese brand United Athle, and plans to expand its product catalog to meet local trends.
Printful is an on-demand printing and fulfillment company that helps people turn their ideas into brands and products. The company fulfills and ships custom clothing, accessories, and home & living items for online businesses. In 2020 the company hit a revenue milestone of $208M and has become the first unicorn company (valued at over $1B) with Latvian roots.
