Cute stickers

When I was small, getting cute stickers from my mom was a special treat. I remember not wanting to use them, saving them for a special place or occasion. I still do that to this day.

Stickers are just as fun for adults as they are for kids, especially when you personalize them yourself. They’re a cheery, creative way to show the world who you are and what’s dear to you.

Let’s start with what’s dear to most of us—our pets.

Pet stickers

Animals have long been cherished family members for so many of us. In fact, roughly 14M pets have joined US households in the last two years alone. That’s the equivalent of New York’s population (in dogs) plus 5M cats!

Whether you just got a pet or have had one for some time, show your love through a sticker dedicated to them.

1. Pet illustrations

Put your artistic skills (or internet design tools) to good use and illustrate your beloved animal companion. Create beautiful pet-inspired artwork to put on a sticker.

If you’re not a grand artist, the internet is full of tools that’ll let you turn your photos into artwork.

I came across Picsart, which helped me transform this photo into striking, print-ready designs in just a few clicks.

The original:

2. Pet photos

Imagine your pet’s cute sleeping pic or goofy face on your phone case or laptop. Use your favorite photos of furry friends to create custom stickers.

You can also create kiss-cut stickers as gifts for family and friends—there are very few things people love more than their four-legged companions.

3. Playful pets

If you’re in an artistic mood, accessorize your pet’s photos: add hats, headphones, sunglasses, or anything else you find funny or adorable.

Use our Design Maker or tools like Canva to play around. It doesn’t take a lot of time or effort.

Here’s what I managed to come up with in a matter of minutes:

And here are some more ideas of how your custom stickers could look:

What else can you use as inspo to design custom decals? Your favorite animals.

Flora and Fauna

Nature has always been a source of inspiration for artists. Creating stickers is no exception. Let’s see what nature-themed stickers you can create.

4. Exotic animals

Most of us have an animal or animals that hold a special place in our hearts. Maybe you’ve loved giraffes forever or thought sharks were absolutely amazing.

For me, it’s capybaras. They’re sweet, peaceful creatures that get along exceptionally well with just about every other animal species. And unsurprisingly, they look adorable as stickers.

Another weakness of mine (like many people, I’m sure) are big cats.

Some people go gaga for less conventional wildlife though. Our customer Paige, for example, has turned her love of reptiles into stunning stickers she sells on Etsy. You can read more of her success story here.

If you have an animal in mind but don’t want to create the design, feel free to skim through our clipart collections in the Design Maker. You’ll find ready-to-use illustrations of cats, birds, spiders, and more.

Continuing with the nature theme, let’s talk plants.

5. Green-leaf plants

In addition to improving air quality, indoor plants improve mental and physical health. They’re also just pleasant to look at. If you’re a houseplant aficionado, why not use them in your sticker designs?

People love luscious greenery in their homes as much as they like it on stickers, so think about creating your own foliage-inspired designs. Looking through Etsy, Pinterest, and other platforms, it’s clear that green-leaf plants are in a league of their own.

6. Flowers

Like plants, flowers are an excellent idea for your sticker designs. A tried and true classic, buds and blooms sprout into designs that are beloved by many.

Here’s a sneak peek of what you can find in our Design Maker:

Add the clipart to a photo or doodle you’ve made to enhance it. Or, if you like what you see, use them as standalone sticker designs.

Food stickers

Next up: good ol’ grub. Since it’s an integral part of life, it’s natural people would think to turn what they eat into vivid decals.

7. Vegetables

Vibrantly-colored and creatively-drawn veggies can be really eye-catching—and they look great as stickers. See for yourself:

Maybe you know a friend or two who loves a particular veggie? Surprise them with a fun sticker.

8. Fruits and berries

Let’s be honest, fruits and berries look mouth-watering in any form, plain and simple:

And they make great stickers for kids, adults, friends, relatives, different occasions, etc. Here’s what you can find as inspo in our free Design Maker:

Is there a particular fruit that tickles your fancy? For many, myself included, avocado is that fruit (yes, avocado is a fruit). It’s tasty, healthy, and looks adorable as a sticker.

Maybe you’re more into snacks than fruits and veggies? No worries—snacks and stickers are a match made in heaven.

9. Junk food

Just as colorful as other food groups, snacks and takeout look fantastic as decor on almost anything: notebooks, phone cases, water bottles, etc.

Here are some ideas for your food-themed designs:

  • Salty: burgers, chips, fries, pizza, hotdogs, tacos, bagels, sandwiches

  • Sweet: cupcakes, popcorn, ice cream, donuts, waffles, cookies, pie

10. Drinks

You can also create stickers with your favorite beverages. Think about it—coffee, tea, and boba tea are among the most popular drinks in the world. And check out how good they look as decals:

Milkshakes, smoothies, and frappuccinos galore! There are tons of fun, colorful drinks to get inspo for your sticker designs. It’s even more interesting when pumpkin spice lattes have entered the chat . . .

Seasonal and holiday stickers

The changing seasons provide an abundance of oldie-but-goodie sticker design ideas. Compile everything you love about a season and put it on a themed sticker sheet

11. Fall

Let’s start with the season that kicks off the school year for so many of us. Here are some darling ideas for fall-themed stickers:

12. Halloween

One of the biggest celebrations of fall is Halloween. Surprise your trick-or-treaters with spooky sticker packs and give them out along with the sweets.

13. Winter

Creating winter stickers will be really chill if you’re a fan of the colder months. Here are some cozy sticker sheet ideas to get you in the mood:

14. Christmas

Celebrate your favorite holidays with custom-made stickers. The beauty of making your own decals is that you can cherry-pick what you like and skip the symbols that don’t spark your joy.

See what others associate with Christmas:

If you’re planning to send out cards this Christmas, it’d be sweet to spruce up the envelope with a custom sticker. Give your envelopes, cards, or presents a special custom look.

15. Spring

Springtime brings a sense of cheerfulness, vibrant colors, and gorgeous flowers. Create a sheet of spring stickers to capture the feeling of this wonderful season.

Here are some spring vibes you can find in our Design Maker:

16. Easter

Bunnies, baskets, and painted eggs are just some of the endearing images associated with this springtime holiday. And don’t forget about the pretty pastel tones, wispy wreaths, and baby animals.

Take a look at these charming sticker sheets to get some more design ideas:

17. Summer

As a kid, almost everyone’s favorite season was summer. Let the kiddos in your life design their perfect summer stickers to have or trade. Fun memories of summer camp, the beach, and vacation will live on in their stickers, even when they go back to school.

18. 4th of July

Make a sticker in honor of Independence Day. Give them to your guests as party favors or bring them as little gifts if you’re the one visiting family or friends for the holiday.

Use the classic red-white-blue color combo, stars and stripes, the flag, or anything else that makes you think of America’s birthday.

Themed stickers

Who doesn’t love a good theme? Although there’s an infinite number to choose from, I’ve picked out some popular ones to get your creative juices flowing. You can thank me later.

19. Retro stickers

Vintage things always seem to give off nostalgic, romantic vibes of a time that’s passed, be it an antique typewriter or an old-timey clock. Pick a period that you’re fond of and get creative.

Here’s a look at some groovy retro-themed clipart in our Design Maker that you can use for your sticker designs:

20. Science stickers

From Bill Nye to The Big Bang Theory, science fans are everywhere. If you’re one of them, create a sticker design with a scientist you admire, a science-related joke, or an offbeat illustration you’re passionate about.

21. Outer space stickers

Space exploration has been the subject of countless stories, books, and movies. If you’re intrigued by outer space, the cosmos, or potential aliens, use it as inspiration for your sticker designs.

Experiment with your art using watercolor effects, line drawings, and more. You’re not constrained by a particular shape either—we’ll cut your stickers into the exact shape you want.

22. Motivational stickers

Motivational stickers are a great way to remind yourself what’s important and what to pay attention to. We all need a little boost every now and then.

You can use motivational decals to keep yourself grounded. For example, if you’re constantly in a rush, design a sticker with a simple reminder to “Take a deep breath” or “Stay present.” It’s a small sentiment that can really improve your day.

23. Teacher stickers

Great teachers can have a huge impact on our lives. If you’re in the educational field, think about designing a sticker with encouraging words to motivate and reward your pupils in a fun way.

Consider what designs your students might like and design away.

24. Wedding stickers

Make your special day even more memorable by making personalized stickers. Use them on your invitations, to decorate wedding favors, or give them to guests as a sweet memento from the celebration.

Create a photo sticker with your favorite moment from the wedding and savor the special time after the party’s over.

Remember that stickers can be cut in the exact shape you want them to be. You can stick to classic shapes or think outside the box.

25. Well-being stickers

Embrace serenity and self-care with well-being sticker designs. Infuse your daily routine with reminders to pause and reflect, using bold typography and minimalist stickers that convey messages like “Be kind to your mind” or “Embrace change.”

These custom stickers, perfect for water bottles, laptops, and phone cases, serve as personal tokens of tranquility. Create stickers that enhance your well-being or brand identity, offering a sneak peek into a lifestyle of balance and peace.

26. Sustainability stickers

Champion eco-conscious living with sustainability sticker ideas that inspire and inform. From vibrant colors highlighting the beauty of nature to bold letters reminding us “There’s no planet B,” these designs make powerful statements on reusable water bottles, laptops, stationery, and more.

Use flat design and line drawings to create cool stickers that promote a greener lifestyle, perfect for small businesses looking to make their brand stand out at trade shows or as pack-ins.

27. Fantasy stickers

Dive into magic with fantasy sticker design ideas that capture the essence of otherworldly adventures. Whether it’s die-cut stickers of dragons or kiss-cut decals of mystical landscapes, these creations bring the extraordinary to everyday objects.

Minimalist stickers

Looking for something simple and elegant? Minimalistic stickers might be just what you’re looking for.

28. Pantry label stickers

A neat way to keep your pantry organized is by using containers. You can buy pre-made labels for everything or try your hand at designing one yourself—it’s fun and easy.

Imagine how gratifying it’d be to look at your perfectly tidy pantry with unique, custom-made labels that you designed yourself.

There’s just something so satisfying about a flawlessly organized pantry with labeled jars and containers, wouldn’t you agree?

These days, home organization has become so popular you can find ideas for how to do it all over the internet—scout out Pinterest and Etsy for more pantry inspiration.

29. Calendar stickers

Trying to keep your schedule organized? Calendar stickers can help with that.

Never miss another appointment with über-useful calendar stickers to keep track of all your important dates.

Personalize-your-stuff stickers

Whether it’s pins on your backpack or swapping out your shoelaces, customizing our favorite things is something we all love to do. Keep reading for some fun ideas on how to make your stuff totally your own.

30. Laptop stickers

How we decorate our belongings often says something about who we are as people. Laptops can sometimes be as unique as the owners themselves.

See what I mean? Some like to keep their laptops sticker-free, some like to keep it simple, and others like to go all out, covering the whole thing from edge to edge.

Let’s take a look at some laptop sticker design ideas.

31. Inside jokes and puns

Shared experiences strengthen relationships. And funny circumstances, well, they just add to the bond. Create quirky stickers with catchphrases or jokes that you and your friends will get a kick out of every time you open your laptop. Or, use your favorite puns—they’re fun and serve as a mini mood booster:

Use pop culture references, song lyrics, or anything else you’re fond of.

32. Low-key designs

Looking for some discreet designs to put on your laptop that keep it subtle for work or school? Here are some great minimalist designs from our Design Maker if you want to keep it simple:

33. Water bottle stickers

In addition to decking out our laptops, many of us love dressing up another everyday essential: water bottles. We all want to stay hydrated, and people are looking for ways to do that sustainably. Reusable water bottles are great for both you and the environment.

Custom stickers make this on-the-go staple that much more personal and fun. If you’re a proud owner of a reusable water bottle, these sticker ideas are for you.

Here are some gussied-up water bottles for sticker styling or design ideas:

With Printful, you can create vinyl stickers suitable for plastic and metal bottles. Don’t put your decorated bottle in the dishwasher, though, to ensure your sticker stays looking good.

Hobby stickers

Custom stickers are a great messenger for who we are and what we love to do. And it’s always rad to see other people passionate about the same things you are.

Rep your hobby in the form of a sticker and put it wherever you like. Who knows? Maybe it’ll be a nice icebreaker.

34. Camping

What’s your favorite thing about camping? Mine’s morning coffee and waking up with the sunrise. Here’s what others love about bonding around the campfire:

If camping’s not your thing, think about what you like to do outdoors (hiking, backpacking, cycling, etc.) and create a sticker in that vein.

35. Travel

People often like to get souvenirs from the places they visit. Instead of a magnet or a card, make a sticker to remind you of your adventures.

Memories can transport us in a heartbeat. If you’re traveling with someone, surprise them with a custom sticker commemorating the trip. It’s always a great idea to create sticker designs that remind you of good times spent with loved ones.

36. Journals and scrapbooks

Making scrapbooks is both a meditative activity to pass the time and a fun way to encapsulate your travels.

If you like to travel but have never made a scrapbook about your journeys, consider this as a sign that you should give it a go. Print out some photos, create and order decals that match your vibe, and write about your travels.

Imagine how wonderful it’ll be to look back at where you’ve been and what you’ve done after a couple of years when the memories have started to fade.

37. Sports

People love playing sports, watching sports, and being fans. What better way to connect with other fans than through advertising your love of a sport? Spark a convo with a fun custom sticker on your notebook or phone case and link up with other like-minded individuals.

Here are some of the sporty designs you can find in our Design Maker:

Plus, it doesn’t have to be just illustrations. Create text-based designs with a joke or a message that only sports friends would understand.

And if you’re part of a sports team, consider ordering stickers for your teammates to have a unifying memento.

38. Reading

Big fan of books? Personalize a sticker with a line from your favorite character, novel, or author. Or, create art to show your love of literature.

Reading-related stickers are also a great gift for any book lover. Show how well you know them with a personalized sticker.

39. Quotes

Share how you view the world using someone else’s words in your sticker design. And you don’t have to limit yourself to literary works—use quotes from movies, TV shows, or even social media (but make sure to check that they’re not copyrighted).

Great quotes can serve as motivation and inspiration. Find the quote that inspires you and put it on your phone case. That way, you’ll get a little mood boost whenever you pick up the phone.

40. Book designs

Quote stickers are not for you? Create beautiful stickers with book art or funny stickers with book-related puns.

There are all kinds of witty ideas out there. I was once in a bookshop with a poster saying, “Treat yo’ shelf.” Wouldn’t that make a great sticker?

Small business stickers

If you’re a small business owner, here are some excellent sticker design ideas to create a more personalized experience for your customers.

41. Logos

Show brand identity through custom stickers with your logo. Add them to your orders, give them as gifts during giveaways and contests, or hand them out at in-person events.

Remember that if it’s a fun design, customers will be more inclined to use the sticker, which means free publicity for you.

42. Pack-ins (thanks for shopping with us)

Craft a personalized sticker to let customers know you appreciate them. Receiving something extra (a sticker, for example) is always pleasant and increases the chances of a customer returning.

Plus, you can use this opportunity to ask people to tag you in their pictures (and repost them on your social media, with their permission of course).
