Dropshipping is a business model in which an online retailer sells products to customers without having to physically store the products in inventory. Instead, the retailer forwards the order and customer details to a third-party supplier or manufacturer, who then ships the products directly to the customer. That means the retailer doesn’t handle the products themselves, reducing the need for storage space and upfront inventory costs. With dropshipping, the retailer typically profits from the difference between the wholesale and retail prices of the products.
