Tip: You can offer your own hoodies with a blank space in the center of your design for customizable text. Let customers fill that space with their own messages. This allows you to offer shoppers a unique personalization experience!

2. Sportswear

The popularity of athleisure and sportswear has exploded in recent years. Sportswear has become mainstream and can be worn for a variety of occasions—from working out to running errands, or even just lounging at home.

This versatility makes sportswear appealing to a wide range of customers. After all, everyone knows that products like joggers, leggings, and sweatshirts are associated with comfort.

Plus, this trend isn’t going anywhere. The global activewear market is expected to reach $455 billion by 2027. It’s hard to go wrong with sportswear designs, so go ahead and experiment with Printful’s free Design Maker until you come up with something you love.

3. Eco-friendly products

Most of us are becoming more environmentally conscious and are looking for ways to reduce our impact on the planet. So it’s no surprise that nearly 75% of shoppers say they prefer eco-friendly brands. Since eco-friendly products are so popular, it’s a worthwhile option for you to consider.

If you create your own eco-friendly product collection, make sure to pick products that are made from recycled, organic, or biodegradable materials.

It’s also important to be transparent with your customers. You can do this by including information about the material composition and production method of your product in the description. Customers always appreciate when brands are upfront, especially with relevant product info.

4. Stationery

Stationery is another popular product category because it’s used in a variety of settings—at home, in school, and at the office. Stationery products are also a great choice for print-on-demand stores because they’re easy to design, upsell, and personalize.

Stationery doesn’t just mean notebooks and pens, it can also include cards or even other desktop items like mouse pads and more!

If you’re an artist or designer, creating your own line of stationery can be a fun and fulfilling project that allows you to share your work with others.

Take advantage of trends or the different seasons to create themed stationery collections, then set up pop-ups showcasing the designs on your store’s checkout page. Interested customers are more likely to add it to their purchase if it’s front and center.

5. Drinkware

Meaningful mugs, reusable water bottles, and tasteful tumblers all have something in common. They’re popular with everyone!

Lots of people enjoy collecting mugs, so why not design and offer your own drinkware collection?

Who knows, you could give someone their next favorite mugs to use or delight guests with!

6. Hats

Every season has a hat that goes with it, which means any time is a good time to sell hats. In fact, the hat industry is booming and projected to continue growing through 2027.

You can offer all sorts of hat collections, from bucket hats to dad hats, and use embroidery to create durable, eye-catching designs.

Hats are also an easy item to upsell by pairing them with apparel on your store. That way, customers can pick and choose different parts to an entire outfit.

7. Wall art

No matter what season it is, wall art is in. In 2021, the global wall art industry was valued at $20.40 billion. That figure is expected to grow to $34.77 billion once 2031 hits.

Don’t worry if you’re unsure whether wall art will complement your store’s offerings.

From abstract artwork to inspirational text, wall art is a functional and expansive product category that’ll fit well with most ecommerce store collections. So, no matter your store’s style, you’ll likely find wall art that’ll suit your designs and aesthetic.

Now you’re all set

Congratulations! You’ve made it to the end of the post.

Now that you’ve set up your Printful and Squarespace connection, experiment with different product designs and offer new collections to spice up your catalog.

Each of the different product categories you’ve learned about has a strong, growing market—and they’re all versatile enough to appeal to a wide range of customers. Take advantage of the increasing demand for these items, and provide customers with unique, personalized, and eco-friendly options.
